Treehouse 2

I posted about the treehouse earlier, but I wanted to show you guys what it looks like now. We’ve added a few other things, and it takes the treehouse to a whole new level.

One of the things that we added was a way to take small things up to the treehouse without bringing them up the stairs. We attached a red bucket to a rope and pulley. Perfect for bringing up books and snacks! Another thing we added, one of the most basic things, was rope in between the railings. It’s so cool to look at! We got two big bins at The Container Store, one for me and one for my brother. Then, we went to The Home Depot and got two chair cushions. We put them on top of the bins. Instant seating and storage! We also got walkie talkies so we can communicate with others from the treehouse. For example, if Mom wanted to tell us to come in for dinner, she wouldn’t have to yell. The last thing we added was a reading swing underneath. We can swing it a bit, or just sit and read.

I love all the things we did to the treehouse. If we do any more, I’ll be sure to post. Comment below if you have a treehouse or a favorite place to read.

Treehouse

I just realized that I promised book reviews and where I like to read, and have only written book reviews! This is about my treehouse.

My dad and grandpa recently finished a treehouse in my backyard. I enjoy reading there. It’s on four posts that are secured into the ground, because we don’t have any trees strong enough to hold it. Despite that, it still feels like I’m in the trees, due to the big tree, whose branches stretch over the treehouse.

Here are a few pictures of me reading Nightfall, the 6th book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series (you might remember it from my preview post), in my treehouse.
